“It happened like a lot of things I do - as a mistake. Like the freegin’ clip in my hair in the ‘My Chick Bad’ video with Ludacris. My hairdresser was curling one side and using a clip to hold my hair. I was like, ‘Leave it.’ They all looked at me like I was insane — but that’s something I do. It’s the same thing with my cadences: I’m probably running out of breath or something crazy, and it’s like, ‘This is not going to work.’ But then I’m like, ‘Let me listen,’ and it winds up being magical and I just keep it and I’m like, ‘Yeah, I love it.’”
Her fashion sense is even more out-of-the-box. Not only has she developed her music style, but her choice of clothing as well. The New York Times titled her “the Cindy Sherman of rap,” after all. Minaj says, “it’s more than a pose though - it’s fashion as a pillar of hip-hop. My style is hip-hop meets couture meets crazed lunatic…um yeah.” It’s pretty self explanatory.
Pink Friday, her upcoming album set to release in November, is her ‘heart and soul.’ Every relationship that she has ever been in will come through the core of this album, she explains.
“I’m going to be in Tokyo, Paris—I’m going to go everywhere you can imagine. I’m going to own London. I mean, the sky’s the limit and you watch what I say. I refuse to lose. I don’t know how to lose.”

For the 2010 Fall/Winter season, Christian Louboutin is releasing their Rantus Orlato model in several different types of fabric and patterns. Having already incorporated studs on a different men’s high-top sneaker in the past, the French luxury brand explores a leopard-print upper as one of their design aesthetics for the Rantus Orlato. The sneaker will feature their famous red sole with the company’s signature logo, and will be available for purchase at Christian Louboutin flagship stores and select high-end retailers.
In recent news, Young Jeezy was recently shooting his new anthem Jizzle when parents approached him expressing their children’s need for school supplies. As many already know, Jeezy is very supportive of the community and shows his dedication often. He purchased plenty of backpacks filled with pencils, pens, calculators, thumbdrives, notebooks, etc. and donated them to the children. He even gave the parents cell phones and money to help pay bills. Now that’s love! The Pepper Zoo tips our hats to Jeezy for supporting the community, as always.
“This is a chronicle progression of a woman. A woman who morphs from innocence to struggles, and back to innocence. From a state of purity, when there is no good and bad, to sophistication, which comes with seduction, greed, debauchery amongst all other evils that dominate the world. On the verge of decadence she struggles, for individuality, for virtue, for her own soul. In the end amidst all chaos, she unites with peace of mind, living with a sober fact that she is just one of them, and she can’t hide. That is her IDENTITY, whether she likes it or not.”
The direction behind this photo shoot is inspirational. Exceptional photography has the ability to tell a story, and this particular editorial captures the essence of an evolving woman. TIPPI APPROVED.

PR agencies are taking full advantage of the benefits that social media brings to the digital table. Katie O’Brien, Global Digital Marketing Manager at Ben & Jerry’s, was searching for an agency to develop a joint digital effort. She briefed a traditional PR agency and a traditional digital shop. According to O’Brien, “the plans they brought back were…night and day.”
The most significant difference between the plans were that one exercised the importance of social media better than the other - and it just so happened to be the PR agency. Although the PR sector took a downfall in 2009, it is coming back with a vengeance. According to Tom Harrison, chairman and CEO of Omnicom Group’s Diversified Agency Services,
“PR can prepare a brand or product for its target market while also preparing the market for that new brand or product. There isn’t another discipline in all of communications services that can do that for a brand.”
According to AdAge, spending on PR will hit $3.4 billion in 2010, an increase of 3% over 2009, according to Veronis Suhler Stevenson, a private-equity firm that publishes annual reports on the state of the PR industry. It expects that number to hit $4.4 billion by 2014. PR agencies have the upper hand in social media because they understand the fundamental structure of it. They realize that the social network space is helpful as long as companies listen and understand what impacts consumers. Social networking is like one continuous conversation with each client; therefore, it is simpler to assess what evokes positive reactions out of those clients through social media.
Here are my Top 5 Social Networks that are beneficial to Businesses:
1) FACEBOOK - Great for building a large network and receiving honest feedback
2) TWITTER - Ideal for sending out quick blasts and getting immediate responses
3) LINKEDIN - The social network for making business contacts and keeping in contact with colleagues (very professional)
4) FOURSQUARE - This is a great networking tool for retail, hospitality, or restaurants. It’s not as beneficial for service-related businesses
5) ENTREPRENEUR CONNECT - A network for connecting with other professionals, vendors, colleagues, and advisers
